Misc Games is Independent Again!

We’re excited to share some big news: Misc Games has officially regained full independence! As of October 1, 2025, we have completed the buyback of all outstanding shares from Amplifier Game Invest (a subsidiary of Embracer Group). This means Misc Games is now once again 100% Norwegian-owned and fully in control of our own future.

This marks a new chapter for us as a studio. While we’re grateful for the years of support and collaboration with Amplifier and Embracer, being independent gives us the freedom to chart our own course, stay true to our vision, and keep building the ship simulation games we—and our community—believe in.

Right now, our main focus is Ships at Sea, our next-generation ship simulator currently available in Early Access on Steam and Epic Games Store. We’re continuing to expand the game with new features, including multiplayer with dedicated servers, and we’re working closely with maritime companies and schools to make sure it remains both authentic and educational.

This independence is not just about business—it’s about passion. It allows us to create the experiences for the players who support us worldwide.
