Senior Game Programmer

We are looking to hire an experienced game programmer to join our team in Stavanger, Norway, it is also possible to work remotely at first. This individual will be responsible for the implementation of entire gameplay features. The programmer will assist in the translation from game design to technical design, task estimation and implementation of the tasks comprising the feature. The programmer will be communicating with designers, artists, producers and other programmers in this role.

Daily Responibilities:


  • Participate in the game development with Unreal 5

  • Participate in the elaboration of its architecture

  • Offer technical solutions to answer the project’s needs and its technical constraints in collaboration with the team

  • Offer ergonomic recommendations and be involved in the creative process

  • Assess the amount of work to be completed

  • Offer support to junior programmers

  • Participate in code reviews and optimize game code when needed


  • A passion for developing next gen games!

  • Proficiency in C++ and object-oriented programming

  • Knowledge of professional software engineering and best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.

  • Experience with game engines such as Unreal Engine 4

  • Experience with multi-threaded programming

  • Must have shipped atleast one game

  • Ability to visualize 3D domains and solutions

  • High interest in and motivation to learn new technologies, languages, engines, algorithms or platform technologies

  • Ability to offer technical expertise, solution architecture guidance and limited mentoring (answering questions, offering advice, guidance) to more junior developers on same or related projects.

  • Ability to communicate well and work across departments in a professional manner


  • Experience with simulators

  • Experience with multiplayer programming

  • Experience in shader programming

  • Experience working with consoles (Xbox One, PS4 and Switch)
